The American Friend - amazing movie from 1977 year. It would be hard to find another performance made this good. The American Friend gave me goosebumps. That tension created by characters draws people attention in from the beginning. The direction is really abstract. Majestic pictures, great tempo and scenes. The sum of small details is incredible. The American Friend has many original details and specifics that I really cannot get out of my head since watching it. It just set the new standard for Crime movies. Tom Ripley has a sweet deal with art forger. Counterfeiters creates images; Tom sold. But another criminal associates of Tom wants to go even more daring: murder. Tom suggests his colleagues a local picture framing instead of asking. That the man from a deadly disease suffers, or so it is similar. More he has a wife and child, who certainly do not want to leave without a penny.
