A Death in the Gunj for me it was always one of the best films ever, an absolute masterpiece. A movie with no weak moments. It carries meaningful lesson. I expected average crap movie at most, I received amazing movie. The direction is really abstract. Majestic pictures, great tempo and scenes. I liked all the characters, even the evil side, especially Om Puri. A Death in the Gunj is very entertaining production. Watch it and I'm sure you'll become another fan of A Death in the Gunj too. Plot of A Death in the Gunj
Death in Gunj is the coming age story that Shutu, our hero and his conflicting notions of masculinity focused around. He takes to navigate blurred lines, what in the world is acceptable in society and questions its own place. Daily numbness in the adults around him adds to his intense feelings of isolation, despite being surrounded by his family. Emotional abuse that we, as a society that is on the other unconscious, which is the total leads to a kind of destruction question irrevocable.
