City Girl is one of the most beautiful movies of 1930. City Girl has literally no weak scenes. The acting is just perfect. I saw this movie many times, really many times. The direction is really abstract. Majestic pictures, great tempo and scenes. I loved whole cast of City Girl, even the enemies of the main character. I never liked Action titles so it's fair to say i never thought I'd love City Girl. It's a modern classic movie, 1930 year is all yours City Girl. City Girl is a living masterpiece. Plot of City Girl

Lem goes to Chicago to sell wheat that his family grew on a Minnesota farm. There he meets the waitress Kate. They fall in love and get married before returning to the farm. Kate is accepted by Lem's mother and younger sister, but rejected by her father, who believes she married for money. (And the fact that Lem didn't get a fair price for wheat is also her fault.) The reapers come and complicate the situation quickly by attacking Kate. Lem misunderstands the situation and believes that Kate is really interested. In desperation, Kate leaves the farm and Lem searches for her.... Show more
